Notes: Noted as one of the best surf breaks on the east coast of Australia. The Park is located right on the Pacific Ocean with a walk bridge to Killick Beach. For the Kyakers there is Killick Creek which has 3 different areas to explore. South of here is beautiful golden sand beaches all the way to Point Plomer with many having camp grounds on the ocean front.

Notes: A large well maintained camping area on the banks of the Burdekin River adjacent to the railway bridges. We were fogged in here in early June and had to wait for it to lift before getting back on the road.
This is a popular camp site.

Notes: This is a place you should never go past, set on the banks of the Moonie River is an amazingly large area set aside for free camping right opposite the pub (a converted sheering shed) with great evening entertainment, meals and drinks, so kick back and enjoy the the experience.

Notes: A very large area set aside for free camping at the entrance to the Head Of Bight Visitors Centre just off the Eyre Highway. This area is open to the elements though and can get a little windy, there is no shade but a disused shed could afford some protection. Better suited to self contained RVs.
