"AUSTRALIA" The Long Way Round continues the journey from Cooktown to The Tip across Battle Camp Road and onto the Peninsula Development Road (PDR) stopping at Hann River Roadhouse before arriving in Coen for a nights stay at the Exchange Hotel Campground. Bramwell Tourist Park is our next stop with a restaurant and live entertainment it's a great place to relax before taking on The Old Telegraph Track (OTT) where a cooling dip at Fruit Bat Falls is a must. Loyalty Beach Campground overlooks Prince of Wales Island with incredible sunsets a cafe and nightly fish and chips on the menu you cant gto wrong. From here we explore the Cape and the many exciting places to visit. A well prepared high rise four wheel drive vehicle is a must for this trip as there is little help along the way and towing from the OTT can be a hefty cost.
