A four wheel drive vehicle is a must as this road is mostly dirt with multiple creek crossings and countless corrugations to navigate. Do not attempt this journey in the wet season as The Savannah Way becomes impassable. There are free camps and cattle station along this iconic road trip to discover and explore.
